Dr. Nagamani Dandamudi

Dr. Nagamani Dandamudi is a highly accomplished physician and healthcare leader with decades of service in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She began her medical journey at the remarkable age of 17, attending medical school in India before immigrating to the United States in 1981. She completed all of her postgraduate training in Chicago at a county hospital, ultimately specializing in internal medicine, critical care, sleep medicine, and pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Dandamudi dedicated over 30 years of her career to the VA healthcare system, beginning in 1992 and serving through September 2025. Her leadership extended beyond clinical care—most notably, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Loma Linda VA, guiding operations and patient care through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work has consistently blended clinical excellence with strong administrative leadership.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dandamudi is passionate about exploring the world and preserving it. She enjoys camping, has visited more than 33 U.S. national parks, and is deeply committed to conservation efforts. She also loves traveling, experiencing new cultures, and trying diverse cuisines.

Looking ahead, Dr. Dandamudi remains driven by a professional goal of advancing women’s health and wellness, while personally aspiring to continue traveling and experiencing as many countries as possible.
